Greetings! The Social Security Disability Coalition was created because we are concerned with ALL aspects of what transpires when a claimant files for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)/Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, through all stages of the disability benefit claims process, including final claim resolution. We're a national grass roots organization that is deeply concerned about the way fragile populations in this country are suffering under the SSDI/SSI application process. This group and their experiences, are a very accurate reflection and microcosm of what is happening to millions of SSDI/SSI applicants every day. Unlike other groups, our MAIN focus is on SSDI/SSI program and legislative reform.
We ask that all members sign the The Social Security Disability Reform Petition and share your experiences. This petition is a crucial tool that is necessary in order to elevate this issue before Congress and the public.
In addition, we also offer our members, FREE comprehensive information, resources and much needed support. Member e-mail addresses are very important for mass communication on issues so please be sure to keep your e-mail address current. Success will be dictated by your faith in us, and together with your co-operation we can make this group positive, informative, supportive, and a force for change for all disabled Americans. Respectfully, Linda Fullerton - President/Co-Founder & Stephanie L. Varnado - Co-Founder/Webmaster
Very Important!!! - This is an informational as well as support group and while we try to offer support to our members, our message board is not a free for all, post/say whatever you want board like most support groups on the internet. Due to the very sensitive subject matter and fragile condition of our members, our board is unique compared to most. The vast majority of our members are suffering from all sorts of disabling conditions – both mental and physical. When offering help to other members on this board, be as factual and informational as possible. NEVER make comments or opinions as to what you think their physical or mental condition is. It is up to them to tell us. This board is strictly monitored to maintain the professionalism and integrity of our group, and it is often viewed by the Social Security administration, members of Congress and the media. While you may not agree with them, our policies have been instituted to preserve the dignity, privacy, safety and support of our members. Those who cannot follow our policies should either not join, or just observe, do not post messages, and just use our site as an information resource only. Remember the “Golden Rule” – treat others as you wish to be treated at ALL times – with respect and dignity. Please take the time to read through our policies very carefully as violators of our policies will be removed from the group.

All posts are monitored and NO member, other than managers of this group, has the right to tell others what can be posted on this board. Since we cannot be on the computer 24 hours a day and there are often technical difficulties please be patient if your post does not show up right away.
NEVER post personal or financial information anywhere on this website such as Social Security numbers, benefit amounts, income, phone numbers, expenses, bills, home address etc. as we have strict privacy protocols. They are nobody’s business except your own and for your protection should not be posted on the Internet. Due to limited storage space on this website we ask that you DO NOT USE ANY GRAPHICS in your posts on this board. TEXT MESSAGES ONLY are allowed. Any posts that do not adhere will be rejected.
Policy on Religion, Politics and This Group: Religious beliefs are very personal and vary greatly. In order to respect everyone’s differences we ask that you not use any religious references in your posts. Since this group is focused on Social Security Disability issues they are not appropriate here. Politics is a very important part of what we do here since the government/politicians are a key factor in getting the reforms we seek, but we ask that you do not engage in discussions about specific political parties or individual politicians here. We must respect each other's differences when it comes to political affiliations. ALL parties and politicians share the responsibility for the current Social Security Disability program, so start contacting ALL your elected officials and tell them that you are holding them accountable, and if they want your support you want them to help us reform the Social Security Disability Program! You can contact all your elected officials and the media through: http://www.congress.org
If any member should see a violation of any of these policies please e-mail moderator immediately at: ssdcoalition@hotmail.com
ATT: While the SSD Coalition provides continual feedback to the Social Security Administration we are not part of them or affiliated with them in any way. Any advice offered and followed by members is strictly at each member’s own risk and discretion.
