Socially Speaking is the thinktank facet of Redd Media, Incorporated, created to be a sounding board for intelligent, progressive analysis of political, economic, and social policies, practices, and issues. This site invites visitors to challenge the commentaries, initiate discussions, and recommend new features on the site. By engaging in Socially Speaking dialogue, members become a formidable voice in shaping domestic and foreign policy on behalf of blacks in America and disaffected peoples throughout the world.

Founded in 2003, Socially Speaking initially aired as a radio broadcast on 90.9FM, Knoxville's First Amendment Radio. It began airing as a cable access television series in 2004.
