The Spring issue was published and released In March 06 .featured are profiles of the English-language community, a Brief History of the ES Community, Our Black history event , information on Our Harbour, Ami Québec and many other community services and groups
A Summer Newsletter issue was be release in mid June.06 Featured is Our Involvement in the Cultural Communities, Promoting Volunteers needs , Service Canada and Summer camp
The Newsletter’s were prepared and written with input from individuals, and community groups We thank the volunteers from the Warm Writers and South Shore Reading Council who edited our material and the volunteers prepared and stuffed the envelopes we used to post and deliver copies ..

As always our good friend June Mayer provided us some insights into Black History. The highlight of our fun morning was Bertrand Bolden giving us a musical history lesson through the sounds of the Steel Pan.

Working in partnership with the Jubillee Seniors Club...a very successful open house was held on n Greenfield Park….. Along with promoting club membership, the SSCPN was able to provide information on Federal Government Services and programs for Seniors to the more then hundred persons attending … It is these types of partnerships that strenghten our community ..many thanks for everyone’s help..

From the very beginning, the SSCPN has been an active supporter of this volunteer-based program ….We have been actively promoting their need for volunteers and helping to get the word out as to the fine work Our Harbour is doing within our community.
