They have a National Screenplay Competition, they hold 2-day seminars with guest speakers such as Larry Wilson(Beetlejuice), and there are weekly meeting every Wednesday night.

Writers Guild Of America East
|
The Writers Guild of America is actually formed from two organizations, the Writers Guilg of America East and teh Writer Guild of AMerica West. Some 11,000 members are primary creators of what you see and hear on TV and Films in the US. The Writers Guild of America East is made up writers East of the Mississippi, and the Writers Guild of America West is made up of writers West of the Mississippi. AS of March 2000 WGAE had over 3900 members. WGAE and WGAW has many differnt writers, Freelance, Hyphenates, Film Screenwriters, TV Writers, TV Daytime Writers, TV & Radio Writers, & Childern TV Writers.
