Lake County Rally (4/5/08)
A repeat of last year's roaring success !!! We start out in Yalaha, in the rolling hills of central Florida at the famous Yalaha German Bakery for a special lunch, then a "challenging" Rally to The Mission Inn for our Awards Banquet
We will meet in the beautiful central highlands of Florida for our annual Lake County Rally. The area is renowned for its scenic beauty, rolling hills and 1,400 lakes. Our Rally will take us all around the scenic, rolling countryside, surrounded by the pervasive fragrance of the citrus blossoms.
The START point is in the town of Yalaha at the Yalaha Country Bakery,
known for their wonderful German breads and delicious German food. (pay your own check) Come early and have lunch in the "Bier Garten" with live music and dancing. The music is from 10 AM to Noon. Allow enough time to browse the gift shop and buy some breads and their wonderful sweet treats to take home.
The Rally will start at 1 PM. The Bakery is often crowded on Saturdays so be sure and leave yourself enough time.
We will be set up for registration out in the grass under the tree back behind the Bier Garten. You'll sign in there and get the rally packet.
The Rally's END point is the spectacular Mission Inn, in Howey-in-the-Hills. There, in the beautiful, glassed-in "Champion's" Room we'll have cocktails and tally the score sheets, in preparation for the award presentations, after the famous "Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet"
A bountiful buffet includes: Two carving stations, hot entree selections, oysters, mussels, clams and steamed crab legs, shrimp, smoked seafood display, and soup. Dessert includes our award-winning bread pudding, bananas foster, ice cream with sundae bar, cake and pie.
Seating begins at 5:00 pm.
$30.95 adults. $15.95 children (5-12 years old). Children up to 4 years old complimentary.
Prices are plus gratuity and tax.
Everyone will pay their own check.
You don't have to stay for dinner;just let me know.

Deadline for registration is 3/29/08
We have the room from 5-7:30PM. This will end our evening early giving everyone ample time to drive home, if they are not staying overnight.
Dress for Champion's is informal, resort casual.
