Retired Professor and US citizen William J. Hart of Lagunillas Edif 5 Pedregosa, Merida, Merida, Venezuela 5101 is the founder of this website and the webmaster here. I am responsible for everything on this website. No "buck passing" exists here. I am a Libertarian. There are almost two million articles on the Internet about Libertarians. The Libertarian Political Party has a website. Quite a few recipients of the Nobel Prize have been Libertarians, including economist Milton Friedman who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1976, "for his achievements in the fields of consumption analysis, monetary history and theory and for his demonstration of the complexity of stabilization policy."

PROFESSOR HART

Libertarian principles are clear cut. I subscribe to them. My most specific  libertarian belief regards foreign aid, and it affects all of my writing and thinking. Foreign aid is little more than welfare for nations -- with the same disastrous effects as domestic welfare programs. The U.S. currently spends approximately $14 billion per year on foreign aid -- far less than most people believe, but still a substantial sum. Since the end of World War II, the United States has spent more than $400 billion on aid to other countries. But there is little evidence that any of these programs has significantly improved the lives of the people in countries receiving this aid. Instead, foreign aid has typically slowed economic development and created dependence.

Libertarians like us at this website correctly assert that Democrats and Republicans are essentially indistinguishable. The two major parties are very similar on important issues such as Social Security, Medicare, and legalization of drugs. There are few differences excluding some positions on national defense, taxation, gun control, environmental regulation, and education. The Democrats would enthusiastically overturn the Second Amendment if the Republicans do not stop them, and their campaign finance reform proposals would overturn the First Amendment too, were it not for the Republican opposition. George Washington was the wealthiest man in the USA at the time of the US Revolution. The USA always was and always will be run by opposing business interests

Defining, recognizing, and limiting bias is my job as webmaster at my science, history, medicine, and social science groups represesenting the Arts and Sciences at MSN. This job as webmaster requires my strength at research, understanding and revealing point-of-view. It is my personal position to avoid politicizing and personalizing anything at all in the tradition of science. This effort lends credibility to what I write and publish and gives what I write or allow to be written and presented at my web groups. This effort also gives a concrete direction as well as a sense of reliability and validity.

My personality is always involved in representing facts. It is a clear cut personal choice to do so. That choice is to represent the scientific method in all cases. It is impossible, illogical, and irrational not to be involved to believe that others are not always involved. Not politicizing things includes identifying the political system that causes political dialogues and questions to remain objective. A French citizen named Marcel Proust who was born in 1871 and died in 1922 is responsible for circulating the manure of dispassionate and detached "science" in his fiction and essays of literary, artistic, and sociological criticism that even Albert Einstein denied as being possible. Marcel Proust is a typical of the long line of irrational utopian idealists in a list that is shocking by it including diverse people like Gandhi, Marx, Engels, Hitler, Goebbels, and Milosevitch who represent what they call "culture" that caused hundreds of millions of deaths when people took up guns and organized armies to represent and to defend "culture" after those in "religion" did the same for millennia. Yes, Gandhi was a utopian political idealist who caused millions of deaths including the initial half of a million Muslims who died marching to Pakistan when British order was overthrown for his version of impractical and idealistic utopian idealism.

A specific individual example of bias would be the residents of socialist countries expecting all answers to be provided for them, and their not being self-reliant as cultural norms. Hence someone might expect their electronic mail system to be regulated instead of their regulating it. Another specific individual example of bias would be to expect and identify business interests in capital-based societies altering and tailoring pseudo-science to suit their idealism at arbitrary economics. Failure to identify these things is as derelict as not identifying genus and species in biology.

Both "individual" examples given would imply that these individuals who were being 100% political would claim that their question was 100% so, and being "politicized" when it was political by nature. Another cultural lie and false "myth" dispelled by science and communication is that all mentally ill people in all cultures and all languages have common delusions, and modern brain scans show the identical distortions of neural endings in schizophrenia, no matter what language and culture was used by the human being that had everything in common with all other deluded human beings, as all culturally biased human beings have the same biases regardless of their culture and language.

It is always quite important to consider the reliable cliché and old caveat of "Caveat Emptor!" or "let the buyer beware" that actually applies at all times to all the Arts and Sciences as well as to all alleged "news" and "facts." The standard of ALL journalism and reporting everywhere on earth are known as the five W's and one "H." Who what, when, where, why, and how always appear in the first sentence of all stories in good journalism except wherever the media or journalist choose not to do so in order to bias the story to their perspective.

Herodotus is still both "the father of history" and "the father of lies" in all of the Arts and Sciences because history, journalism, and lies recording the Arts and Sciences including social science and politics always have been synonymous with many renditions of reality. Idealists and those who postulate both the alleged "truths" of science and society is the result of plans that are in fact a classical Utopian project, and a profane monument to the vanity of assorted philosophers and intellectuals whose programmed thoughts whose inevitable destiny is failure, and  only the scale of the final damages of this unscientific nonsense is in doubt.

The oldest of all caveats expressed in Latin as  "Caveat Emptor!" or "let the buyer beware" also applies to all news and "facts" regarding all of the Arts and Sciences. This caveat reminds us that science can quickly become nonsense or non-science when anyone reports or presents it. The standard of ALL  articles and in journalism of any kind everywhere on earth is the standard known as the five W's and one "H." Who what, when, where, why, and how always appear in the first sentence of all stories in good journalism...except wherever the media and authors choose not to do so. That is bias.
