Protection is essential for any type of mediumship, whether you are using tools or not.  See the page on Tools of Mediumship for further explanation as to what these are (see the schedule for this).  Proceeding with the proper protection can result in serious consequences, such as attracting an entity that is difficult to remove and/or worse.  CRC is a way that you can prepare yourself for mediumship work and is very helpful to learn.

AFFIRMATIONS OF PROTECTION

Before you work in mediumship, you should always use some type of affirmation of protection.  This will keep the confused spirits from interfering with your mediumship.  Here are some affirmations to help get you started.  You can use one of them or adapt them to suit your own needs.

I am surrounded by LOVE.  My forces are here and I shall have my heart's desire, whenever (Source) sees fit.  I close myself to all that is negative and undeveloped.  I open myself to all that is Pure and Holy.  The (Source) is in my holy Temple.  Let there be peace, peace, peace.  I am Spirit; I am free, Nothing but good can come to me.

The light of (Source) surrounds me.  The Love of (Source) enfolds me. The power of (Source) protects me.  Wherever I am, (Source) is.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart; be acceptable in thy sight, O (Source).

I now ask for the White Light of protection to surround me and those to whom I am going.  I ask for love, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.  I ask that the line of communication from your plane to my plane be open now.  Thank you (Source) for allowing me to serve spirit.  And so it is.

I am open to the best and closed to the undesirable.  Let my mediumship begin now.  And so it is.

O (Source), I humbly beseech Thee to allow me to serve you and your children through mediumship.  Let my guides assist me in bringing message of love from the other side of the veil.  Let my mediumship begin now.  And so it is.

I am surrounded by the pure White light and the purest shades of Purple and pink of the All That Is.  All that comes from thee will return to thee; all negativity will go to the Sea of Forgetfulness, for I am a child of (Source) and I give glory and praise to (Source’s) Name.  I ask for only the Highest and the Best of the Protectors, Gatekeepers, Teachers, and Healers to come in at this time; I thank all those who come in at this time for assistance.  So mote it be.

Now that you have done your protection affirmation, you are ready to work.  Listed below is the method I was taught to get started. 

CLEAR YOUR MIND

When you are first starting out, you may find it necessary to visualize a lake and dump all of today's problems into it before you try to tune in.  You may also just like to turn all your problems over to your Source before you tune in.  Find some focal point.  It can be something in the room or something pleasant from the past and concentrate on it.  Mentally go to that special room that you have built for yourself.  Go to that special place within.  That (Source) spot in your heart.

RAISE YOUR VIBRATIONS

Love thoughts; think of something you really enjoy; affirmations; think of going up a set of stairs or going up in an elevator to some special room.

Ask to be a servant of your Source.  Ask for protection for yourself and the person to whom you are going.  Ask for permission to work through your guides.  Ask for messages of love and guidance.  Ask that the veil be open NOW.  YOUR SOURCE’S WILL BE DONE.  Thank spirit for working with you and (Source) for allowing it to happen.
