I got Einstein as a kitten. He was so cute, you should have seen him, he was orange and cream with a target circle on both sides of him just in front of his hind legs. As a kitten, he still loved to suck on everything. even as he grew up he would suck on my sweaters and on my socks left on the floor, (silly thing)! I was cuddling him one time asleep and he left little kitty hickies on my arm! That was funny!
One time I had gotten home very late from work and he was scolding me for being gone(yes, I could and would understand him and he did talk back) well he wouldn't quit scolding me even after giving him lovin's so I put him in my room and went in the kitchen to get something to eat, I still don't know how he did it but he got the door open and came strolling out, just a meowing to beat all heck!
Einstein and I were buddies, I miss him so much to this day!
Someone kicked him or hit him with something because the vet said he wouldn't be able to survive surgery on his broken jaw and skull! My dad was with me as I held him and I told him how much I loved him and how much he was apart of me. As he drifted to Rainbow Bridge I realized that if he were a human, he would have been my twin.
It has been 11 yrs now since he has passed. I still to this day do not own my own cat (hubby's cat is 12 yrs old). I love animals but I cannot fill Einsteins' void with just any cat. Therefore, I have an odd pet now, an iguana named Stanley. I just know if Einstein were alive, he would be teasing Stanley into a complex.
Sorry that I don't have a picture. I do have pictures, just don't own a scanner...lol.
Thanks for reminding me to write in about my favorite Pet, Nefer.
When I am ready to touch my loss again, I will tell you about my dog Tatty.
Hugs to all who have loved and lost a best and close friend! They may leave our lives in this physical plane, but they are just on the other side, across the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for when we cross too!
