OUR CONTEMPORARY HOLOCAUST, BURMA 2008 Films and pictures
- OUR CONTEMPORARY HOLOCAUST, BURMA 2008 This is a pictorial walk through the “Killing Fields” in Burma (Myanmar). Through the raw courage of the Burma’s Free Rangers these pictures have been smuggled out of country for the world to see. They are very graphic, heart rendering and contemporary. This is happening today. There should be no question this is a Holocaust of the highest order financed by China. And now, China has joined in the murderous festival of blood as they wage war on Buddhist Monks in Tibet. It is sad what people and nations will do for money. Your Devil’s Advocate
Buffalohair Country profile: Burma Burma, also known as Myanmar, is ruled by a military junta which suppresses almost all dissent and wields absolute power in the face of international condemnation and sanctions. The generals and the army stand accused of gross human rights abuses, including the forcible relocation of civilians and the widespread use of forced labour, which includes children. | | Children flee with Grandmother 17 Feb 08 | | | Children on the move 17 Feb 08 | | | Sad girl and family resting 17 Feb 08 | | | Families fleeing to new site 17 Feb 08 | | | Escaped porter who stepped on a landmine |

- The music used in the last film Kansas "Dust In The Wind" video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koBWtYVRf-0 I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind, all they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea All we do, crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind, All we are is dust in the wind
(instrumental break)
Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind, All we are is dust in the wind (All we are is dust in the wind) Dust in the wind, (Everything is dust in the wind) Everything is dust in the wind

- You know LRD, there are films out there that show the reality of the world that children are forced to live in.... Rabbit Proof Fence ( Australian film)...Water( India ) are just two that quickly come to mind.... I am sure there are dozens more... I have noticed that the major studios NEVER fund these types of films....Could it be that the films leave the viewers emotions raw..??? And they come face to face with the real world...??? A world that most people don't want to admit exists..?? O.

Responding to Burma's Internally Displaced "In Hiding" is a detailed account of human rights abuses committed by the Burma Army against ethnic minorities inside Burma over a one year period. It is an unrelenting documentary of disturbing images and firsthand stories; unadulterated evidence that the brutal military dictatorship of Burma continues its tyranny. Video by Travis Fox, Washington Post. Burmese forces are waging the largest military offensive against their own people in more than a decade, targeting the country's eastern ethnic groups with violence and destruction. Tens of thousands of refugees, mostly Karen minorities, are abandoning villages in search of safety in Thailand.

- I guess this would be more of a Hug Place? I can not see any humor really, in the fate of the children and their families in these stories here at this Group. Now for ndn peoples we have used humor to make our history bearable. Was it funny at the time it took place? No way! So it would be nice to see smiles on these children's faces again, so they can heal. Burma Border Refugees You're Right LRD, Humor has it's place..But when you see pain and sadness in a child's face, ...There is no humor to be found there....Childhood is a magical time, or at least it should be...Children should be free of the burdens that so many are forced to deal with each day...All they should have to worry about is what game to play next or who's It , in a game of tag.... their days should not be filled with thoughts like...will I eat today..? Will I sleep peacefully tonight...? If just one child is robbed of the innocents of childhood..than that's one child to many...Humor does have a place after all...it belongs on children's lips and ,laughter in their eyes... if we look at one child , any child, anywhere in the world... and we don't see that..Than we as a species..have failed...And great accomplishments or feats we achieve..will never make up for letting one child know sadness.... O.

- Your Power Example! 12 days ago WHERE TO BUY YOUR USA-GAS
An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now over $90 a barrel and heading to $100.00/)
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Sunoco................0 barrels Conoco................0 barrels Sinclair.................0 barrels BP / Phillips.........0 barrels Hess.....................0 barrels ARC0....................0 barrels
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importig. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.
Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I'm sending this note to about thirty people . If each of you s end it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and
those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) . and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people,
we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!!
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
I f it goes one level further, you guessed it .... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take?
If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days !
