Rev. Mr. Robert Graham
Deacon Bob was born on August 7, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended East High School, Des Moines, Iowa, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in the Administration of Justice from The American University, Washington, D.C. He also served with the U.S. Marine Corps.
On April 11, 1964, he married Ora Carter at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Washington, D.C. They have two children, Scott and Heather.
Before his ordination, he was a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington, D.C., and retired at the rank of lieutenant.
He was ordained a deacon (Sacrament of Holy Orders) in the Archdiocese of Baltimore on October 4, 1980. His assignments include: Deacon, Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Ownesville, MD, and Holy Family Mission, Davidsonville, MD; Deacon/Administrator, Independent Catholic Mission of Holy Family, Davidsonville, MD; Deacon, Holy Family Parish, Davidsonville, MD; Auxiliary assignments on the Marriage Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Baltimore (Procurator Advocate, Defender of the Bond, Judge for the Court of First Instance and Judge on the Appeals Court.); Deacon, Saint Catherine Parish, McMinnville, TN; and finally Deacon, Saint Andrew Parish, Sparta, TN.
Deacon Bob brings much experience with him to our parish, and a service held by him in the absence of a priest still fulfills any obligation we, as congregants, have.
