Making Backgrounds
Tutorial By Kerry © 2002-3

To make this background or similar

Open up a new image as shown using these settings

Now go to the colour palette and set to black
add this texture just below:  Asphalt

With colour set to black fllod fill the red image, by going to
the flood fill tool on the left tool bar,

then click on the red image.  (you will now see a pattern,
do this twice - two clicks.)

Now go to the top menu and go to EFFECTS and REFLECTION EFFECTS
& KALIEDESCOPE, you can play around with settings here
until you are happy.  Save as a jpeg.

To make a tile seamless, you can use the new seamless tile tool in
PSP 8, or
Simple Filters plug in or 20/20 program

To make others do this with other colours, other patterns and
different effects, such as texture or any of the GEOMETRIC EFFECTS,
I like CurlyQs.

You can also just play around with using different gradient fills,
done in the same way, or plug ins, Superblade Pro is great for
creatingbackgrounds, patterns and textures..

MOSAIC Background

A good effect to use is the mosaic button in EFFECTS menu in PSP.

Just open a new canvass, 200x200,
fill with a pattern you want, I used Wool and go to EFFECTS Antique
moasaic and play around till you get the glassy effect you want.

Save as a jpeg.
