Archer Annie A Fan-Fiction Series By OtakuGirl02 (Elizabeth Berndt)
AUTHORS NOTE: When I saw LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring and LOTR: The Two Towers I had become interested in Archery. One of my favorite stories came into mind after seeing the films, and that was the tale of Robin Hood. I thought it would be interesting to have a female archer, add some magical characters (similar to Record of Lodoss Wars, or even comic stories such as Slayers, Dragon Half, Those Who Hunt Elves and Sorcerer Hunters), and mix the knowledge I had about my own culture (Western tradition) with Eastern culture. I had seen this done in many animes before, such as Trigun, Sakura Wars, Tenchi Muyo and even small references in other popular shows like Project A-ko and All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku. I wanted to do something new and different, even if it had been done many times over in different genres of Anime. The series itself happens somewhere in America, probably in the Midwest, or in another area that has vast forests and the like. It might even occur in Maine, but I'm not certain. I never really meant to give the story a locale, I was just concerned with the characters, and the Realm of Legend. The Realm of Legend was inspired by the film Windaria, and other fantasy films I had seen in the past (think Labyrinth or Dark Crystal). The characters themselves were fashioned around people I've met either online, in real life, or characters from television I really enjoy. The dwarf herself is my female answer to Gimili in LOTR.  I have illustrations of my characters, but unfortunately the family scanner isn't working. If it were, I would be pleased to share them w/ you. I suppose sometime in the future, I can do that. ^-^ .
