Born Henry Reed Yeo, Dec. 11 1914 Lansing Michigan, Died Mar. 17 1987 London Ontario. Only child of Percy Armstrong Yeo & Florence McConachie. Mother died giving birth. Raised by maternal grandparents in Owen Sound Ont. who added the name Floyd in front of his birth name in memory of Florence. He had a grade 8 education. At an early age he went to work with his Grandpa McConachie at the gas plant in Owen Sound where he became a Stationary Engineer. In approx. 1931 at age 17 he married Reta Amelia (????) Yeo, and adopted her son Leonard Carl Yeo, and had 5 more children, 3 sons, Ronald Floyd Yeo, John Robert Yeo, and Melville Percy Yeo, and 2 daughters Florence Gertrude Yeo, and Darlene Catherine Yeo. In 1943 he volunteered for service in the Royal Canadian Engineers and served over seas till recieving a medical discharge in 1944.
On his return to civilian life he returned to work at the gas plant in Owen Sound. In 1951 Floyd and Reta seperated and he moved to London Ont. working at the airforce base.
Shortly there after he met Violet Evangeline (McGill) Ballingall, in 1952 she seperated from her first husband Gordon Ballingall and was divorced some time there after. She had one daughter with Gord, Merna Evangeline Ballingall. Floyd never divorced but Floyd and Vi moved in together they had 6 children, 3 & 3. Timothy Charles Yeo, Nancy-Lee Yeo, Terry Reed Yeo, Carolin Edith Yeo, Carl Harvey Yeo, and Barbara Ann Yeo.
On November 6 1963, Reta, dads first wife died. On Jan. 27, 1964 mom & dad married, much to the surprise of their children who thought they were already married.
Violet Evangeline (McGill) (Ballingall) Yeo born July 12 1923, Montreal Quebec, died Feb. 1, 1987.
