Hello Everyone and Welcome to The Van Hooydonk's!

If you look at the link directly below this one you will see pictures of my family and our hobbies. The Van Hooydonk's is a part of the Yeo family as this is the husband to me (Amanda Graham) and the father to the latest family addition (Zackery Christopher Van Hooydonk). I am the youngest child and only daughter born to the late Barbara Ann Graham (Yeo) and therefore making Zackery her first born grandchild.
I am 23 years old and my husband Chris is 24. We had our first baby named above on September 7/04. Zackery weighed in at 7lbs 2oz and was 20in long born at 4:30pm. He has been an absolute blessing to our family and a welcomed addition. I have been blessed by my mother with great parenting skills and she has embedded herself in me, giving me all the tools to be a patient, supporting, loving wife and mother as she most certainly was. I learned from the best!
You will also see in my pictures a few of my older and only brother Joseph William Graham in the recent wed to his wife Jane Graham (Wismer). Their wedding took place in Lucan, ON on August 28th just one day prior to the year anniversary of my Mom's passing. She was there that day as she held off the rain and made the day a fabulous one! I wish my brother and Jane all the best for the future, and I wish to congratulate the two of them. Joey is obviously an uncle now too - his first nephew as well.
Lastly but not least, I wanted to mention that my husband Chris is into demolition derby's and that is where we spend a lot of our summer weekends. You will see pictures of Chris and his cars in the "The Van Hooydonk (Graham) Album" link below this one. Chris was very successful last year bringing home 3 first place trophy's and the money as well as one "Best Decorated" trophy. He did all that with one car, a little Toyota Tercel. This year he has not been so lucky. He has had a few tough breaks and a new car for every derby. He has brought home one trophy this year from Exeter, ON in the Pac-Man car and 2 trophy's (one for his heat win and one for the final win) in Tillsonburg. There are a few more to go before the year is over including the finals in Simcoe and so I am hoping he will have better luck before the year is up. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and welcome! I of course had to include a picture of my mom on the website too as I could not possibly forget her as part of the family - she is the greatest woman I know and she is deeply missed everyday.
Well all the derby's are over for the year and what is mentioned above is all that Chris got. Three trophy's in total. Better luck next year
I also wanted to mention that we had pictures taken at Sears of Zackery on October 7th when he was one month old. Those pictures will be up soon in "The Van Hooydonk (Graham) Album" Look for the little "pumpkin" there! Zackery is growing well and is 7 weeks old now, he weighs 9lbs 11oz.
Hello again, its been a while since I wrote last so I thought I would update and tell everyone that Zackery is now 14 weeks old and only 3 days away from his first Christmas! Zack now weighs 14lbs 8.5oz, is 27in long and very healthy. Zack has been smiling for a while now but just started giggling a little. He also loves the early Christmas Present from Mom & Dad, The JOLLY JUMPER! He's a "bouncing" baby!
Chris and I are very excited about being Santa for the first time.... I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas and has a healthy and prosperous NEW YEAR! Talk to you all again soon.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Back on again to wish everyone a very Happy New Year from our family to yours. I hope everyone was able to ring in the New Year with a smile ~ Good luck with the resolutions!
Well it has been nearly 7 months since I last wrote. I just tried to add pictures of Zackery for you all to see, he's getting so super big but the website will not allow me to add at this time....I'll try again later. Its hard to believe the last time I wrote was in January and Zackery was all of 14 weeks. He is now almost 11months! Hard to believe I will be celebrating his first birthday in just a months time...I was told they grew fast but I guess I just wanted a "baby" forever
I will write again soon to tell everyone where we are hosting Zackery's first birthday party and for those that can make it we'll love to see you! We miss everyone lots
Derby season is back on, Chris has had tough breaks so far this year..no wins..although close and took a VERY hard hit at the Billy Bash Memorial in Paris. Next derby is tomorrow, July 23rd, in St.Mary's. We'll see how he does. Anyway just thought I would write to tell you all that we are still alive and kicking and that Zack is doing very well. He has a large vocab for a child of his age, is VERY intelligent (must get that from Mom's side..hee he) and is crawling, standing on his own, climbing furniture, and exploring by getting into EVERYTHING! Won't be long before he's taking those first steps...
Talk to you all again soon. With love from our family to yours!
In dedication to my mom with love always - Chris, Amanda and Zackery Van Hooydonk
