There are three Arcelik shops in Girne and a new one open on the road from Girne to Nicosia(Lefkosa) on the main dual carriageway near to the turningfor Nicosia. The shops appear to be fanchised as you get different prices for the same items in different shops so it is worth pricing up your items in one shop and then doing the same in the others to get the best deal. They will store your items until you need them (this goes for furnishing companies as well). Electrical goods are from Turkey and are "own brand" as Arcelik as well as more famous brands. Ask about warranties as some of the shops give 3-5 years free warranty.Typical prices(in Euros) are Dishwasher -€475, Washing machine - €383, Fridge-freezer -€392, Aiwa 26"TV and built-in DVD player - €3922, TV - € 747, Sony Trinitron TV €3300, Sony DVD €500-€1000, CD-radio - €200. In Turkish lira prices are L677 - L886Million - Electric ceramic hob; L600 - L671 million -electric oven;L440 - L500 million - washing machine; L550 -L61million - dishwasher; L520 - L897 million - fridge freezer; L520 - L800 million - Extractor unit for hob. Dawn & Neil have just paid £960 for a fridge (£125).Washing machune (£175) Microwave with combi over & grill (£170).Dishwasher (£225) & £275) for gas hob & electric oven, all of which will be stored for us & they will liase with the estate agents to ensure they are fitted in time for our next visit.

Huge variety of electrical lamps and lights.If you have UK lamps and just want a lampshade that is fine but remember the lapms in UK have smaller diameter holders so the shades do not fit unless you have an extra "washer" added. They aslo sell some garden furniture. There is now a new branch opened in Girne.It is situated by the roundabout at top of Girne High street.
