• The Rules: Upon joing Tales of Adventure, you must read and understand these rules before you do anything else.  We are not tyrants here; our main priority is that members are able to have fun in a creative and thoughtful environment, however we do expect these guidelines to be followed.  Repeteated dismissal of the rules will result in banning.
• How to build a character: An outline of the things that should be included in a character profile, where it should go when you've finished, and some useful tips on character creation.
• How to create a thread: Practical guidance for members new to MSN, as well as more general tips on starting and running a campaign.
• How to join a thread:  How to approach joining a current thread.  Information on the different styles of rps found at Tales of Adventure
• The Chronicles:  A list of current threads on the boards, as well as the name of the players who run them.
• FAQ: If you have a question not answered here, post it under the general message board and someone will get back to you.  Some questions in the FAQ may be covered else where in the getting started guide, however they are repeated here for easy reference.
• Writing Posts - Curse of the One Liner: Love rp'ing but struggle for stuff to put in your posts?  This page offers ideas and suggestions to avoided the dreaded one liner and (hopefully) help improve your writing skills.
