Current Year: 865 CY CY = Common Year Previous to the advent of the Common Year (CY), the realms of Elendria, Harwindale, and Kharadas are founded by the Elves, Halflings, and Dwarves respectively. Miran also has beginnings shrouded in prehistory on the western continent. The Common Year (CY) is a convention dating back to the time of the Seven Sages. The Seven Sages realized a necessity for a common method of documenting the passage of time in the lands inhabited by man and the other elder races. The Seven Sages developed the Common Year and instituted its use within the lands before becoming one with myth and legend. The year is similar to a real year in that it contains a total of twelve months (and one festival period of the new year taking place in the last few days of October/Samonios...the festival known in the lands as Ruis). The calendar used here for naming of the months is ancient gaelic or celtic, I don't recall which at the moment. - 0 CY: Common Year begins with the Seven Sages leaving the known realms and the world of man.
