She doesn't remember most of the earlier parts of her life; not that she tries not to, but her mind subconsiosly blocks it. She remembers bits and pieces of one night, at her family's roost; pain, terror, death, and the sudden feeling of being completely alone. She remembers some friends of the family trying to come to their aid, but that she was the only one who survived. She went with them, and was raised from then on as one of them. When she was young enough to be curious about who she was and others like her,  but old enough to set out on her own, she left them, and began looking for others of her kind. On her travels, she rescued her companion, Azlaynn. He now travels with her.

Elwing: Upon first glance she looks to be a fairly large human woman. She wears a long, black cloak that hides all of her features. She stands about 6ft 2in tall, and (with her cloak on) appears to have very broad shoulders. She keeps her cloak hood pulled low, to hide her face, but every once in a while, one might notice amber yellow eyes glowing from beneath it. And, again, if one were to pay attention, they might also notice a reptilian tail that slips out of hiding every so often. Most of the time, though, she's able to hide it before anyone sees.

 

Azlaynn: He's a pure white, male lion, with angel like wings. He stands about 4 & 1/2 ft tall at the shoulders. He and Elwing share a connection that enables them to telepathically speak to one another.
