An Evening of Magicks Featuring Mr. Bev Richardson

from Castle Pook, Ireland

(October, 2008, at the UU Church of Akron, followed by drumming circle)

Once again, experience the magick......we welcome the magickal talents of Mr. Bev Richardson, of Castle Pook, County Cork.  An essayist, celebrant for the sacred ceremonies of Stonehenge, Bev is a traditional storyteller, a bard of the living oral tradition.
"As practitioner of magical craft, I access the hidden meaning in magic through story lines...the work continues."

Born on the Isle of Mann, and one of the last in the line of Faery Manx Doctors,  Bev, as a very young man, was part of the household of  master Gerald Gardner – considered to be the ‘father of modern day Witchcraft, founder of the “Witch Museum” and of the  Gardnerian Wiccan Tradition.
In the late sixties with his life partner Del they returned to the Island and lived in the Witches Mill, then the property of Scotti and Niqui Wilson;  “ in dear old Gerald’s apartment; during this time we cataloged the collection (of the Witch Museum) and cleaned and sorted it all.”
Niqui, aka Lady Olwen, is one of the Mother Priestesses of the American branch of the Gardnerian Wiccan tradition through master Raymond Buckland et al.

"From the latter 70's into the 90's we were completely horse drawn, traveling the by-ways of Britain, and later Ireland, with a wagon." The story of their journey may be found on the Pagan Ireland website. They are frequent guests of radio and TV on Wiccan/Pagan and Earth traditions.

Since 1995, Bev and his family have been settled at Castle Pook, where, on 13 acres of semi-wild (well-wooded) meadow “we have been building a centre for earth based spirituality and communicating with the spiritus loci."
