A garden has been created in lane behind Hamilton Terrace, off Dipe Lane, West Boldon.

This tranquil hidden garden was created from an overgrown derelict lane and is now a delightful community garden used by residents for peaceful relaxation and social gatherings. There is a wide range of shrubs, perennials, herbs and annuals to attract insects and birds.  It has been featured on Tyne Tees Television and "Northern Glories.  Award winner Northumbria in Bloom 2003  and 2005

Private visits welcome by appointment Sue Jackson Tel: 0191 537 1928

The garden  has been opened each year for the past 12 years as part of  The National Open Gardens scheme.  Teas and plants will be available at a modest charge.  As a result of this effort over £1,000 has been collected each year for various charities chosen by the National Garden Scheme.

Pay a visit I am sure you will not be disappointed.
