How to store graphics here at The Clip Art Palace.
If you haven't already done so, please go NOW to our Copyright page for valuable information that will keep us all out of trouble. You shouldn't be posting or adding to TCAP unless you've read this and understand it. Thank You! Ok ... so now you know how to find clip art and how to save it to your computer. Now I'm going to tell you how to save it here at The Clip Art Palace so you can free up that space on your personal computer.
The first thing you need to do is go the page here at The Palace called Our Albums. On this page you will see all the different categories of clip art that members of The Palace have already saved here. I've done my very best to keep as many catagories of art separated as possible. I think that keeping it well categorized makes it much easier and much faster to find what you want when you want it.
To Save a Picture to an Existing Album
...click on the title of that album and it will open. At the top of the page you will see an option to add a picture. Click that option. On the left of the screen that will pop up you will see a list of all the different places on your computer that you may have saved your picture. Select the location your picture is saved at and click it. On the right side of your screen you will then see a reduced version of all the pictures you have saved in that selected location (for example in your documents). To select which pictures you want to upload to that particular album, all you have to do is click on them. A red square will then outline the picture indicating that you have chosen it. To change you mind and not upload it, all you'd need to do is click that picture a second time.
If you simply go through and only click the photos you want to upload they will upload with a description of "untitled." However, if (once you have clicked on your chosen photo) you will fill in a brief description below the reduced picture, you will find that it is much less difficult to distinguish exactly which photo it is.
Once you've selected all photos that you wish to upload to this particular album, simply click "upload" which will be found just above the reduced photos. Depending on how many and what kind of photos your upload, it could take a few seconds to a few minutes.
To Create a New Album
Once you're on the page here at The Clip Art Palace, you'll see an option at the top of the page to "Create a New Album." Once you've clicked on this you'll find your cursor in a blank spot where you type in whatever you want the name of your new album to be. You will also find three different options that are self explanatory that will regulate who can (for example) delete photos in your album. Once you've done that just whiz back up to the top of this page to the section called To Save a Picture to an Existing Album and have at it!
