EAGLECAM Live from Blackwater Refuge in Cambridge, Maryland. See Osprey Cam below for Blackwater's perennial favorite, the Osprey cam.
EAGLECAM Anita from Orca Community has found this great live streaming cam of an eagles' nest with new chick. This is from The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. This can be played in Windows Mediaplayer for full effect. By pushing on the little cam it should open up in your Windows Mediaplayer. More information HERE.
EAGLECAM From the BioDiversity Research Institute, this fine, streaming cam WITH SOUND is located in Gorham, Maine. Blog HERE
EAGLECAM This streaming, in-your-face, complete with SOUND, wins the prize for the best eagle cam ever to be shown on the web. It is now situated in Sydney, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. They did a great job with the new cam(s) this year. You have a choice of wide-angle, or close-up, the latter making it seem as if you could reach out and touch them. And the stereo sound is lovely to hear. There is a blog, plus you can switch over to the Great Blue Heron cam. I'll try to put up a separate description for that. The direct cam page is HERE
GOLDEN EAGLE CAM This very-slowly updating cam at least has an attractive view of the pair of golden eagles in Finland. You can click on the cam to try to make it update, although that usually doesn't change the picture. Take a look at the slide show in the upper right. The slide show will play in the large cam window if you push the "<". ALSO, if you want to see video clips with sound, click on video clips at the bottom of the photo list to the right. The clips load in RealPlayer. STATUS: PLAYING, BUT ON A BEAR.
FALCONCAM The peregrine falcon nesting project at the Rachel Carson State Office Building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania marked perhaps the biggest single environmental event ever presented through live video on the web attracting over 34 million hits. An excellent cam with sound, panning, and top-notch streaming. Should open up in RealPlayer. Watch the season and enjoy the mating, egg hatching, and baby falcons. Read more here.
FALCONCAM Jon from Orca Community suggested this streaming, panning cam from 55 Water St. in Manhatten. In 1999 a pair of Peregrine Falcons "Jack & Diane" ventured from the Bank of New York Building on Wall Street to the 14th floor of 55 Water Street, a 54 story building nestled into the Southern tip of Manhattan.... This cam plays beautifully in your Mediaplayer. See instructions at bottom of page.
FALCONCAM In 1994 Dennis Money, founder of the Rochester Peregrine Falcon Project, asked Kodak for permission to place a nest box on top of the Kodak Office Tower. Kodak eagerly agreed, and in 1995 the nest box was placed in a location that was described as a perfect nesting place that simulates their natural cliff habitat. Each view enlarges, but for a HUGE enlargement, go to the single view and enlarge to high-resolution downloadable photo HERE For additional fun, go to Shakey's Unofficial Kodak Birdcam Archive Viewer HERE. You can make a small movie of the Kodak cam action! Thanks, Beryl from Orca Community. STATUS: SHAKEY'S SITE OPERATING
FALCONCAM See George and Gracie raise their new batch of peregrine falcons, nesting on the 33rd floor of a building in San Francisco. Streaming, with clear picture. New babies! Thanks, Cora.
FALCONCAM A nice one-minute updating cam of a pair of falcons on a very high building in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Comes complete with a blog! Spectacular view at night.
FALCONCAM From Shanandoah Mountains in Virginia, this beautiful updating (about5-10 seconds) cam is in one of the most spectacular milieu I have ever seen for a bird cam. Check out the site for more great cams, too! Thanks, Osmia!
