ASIAN ANIMAL PROTECTION NETWORK - I like the approach on this excellent Yahoo group. A mix of chat, news, etc. with serious content and a great bunch of contributors. Ijoined and have learned much from this site. This is a forum for news, information, opinions and discussions on animal issues in Asia. The Asian Animal Protection Network aims to develop intra-regional co-operation and provide an entry point for enquiries from other regions. It is a loose, cost-effective network for exchanging information and ideas and general mutual support. And now Rowan and her group has acheived a major, internationally reported victory! They have freed Dulary to The Elephant Sanctuary and have forced the zoo to send the other elephants to far better conditions at the Cleveland Zoo. We are proud of you, Rowan!

ELEPHANT NATURE PARK - An award winning Park in Northern Thailand receiving global recognition for it natural approach to elephant care. The operation includes a visitor centre and 150 acres in the Chiang Mai province, of Thailand. The park is home for an established herd of bulls, cows and calves, and resident dog and cats. Many of the animals are rescued and recuperating from abuse, sickness and injury. Any elephant needing assistance receive free medical and/or nutritional assistance.
