*The Top 10 Questions Asked Of A Satanist*

1. Why do you worship Satan ?

Modern Satanists don't worship Satan. We worship ourselves.

2. Why do you worship yourselves ?

Human beings have created every myth, both old and new. As humans, we are the creator of all gods that exist in these myths. The human race is full of creative potential to do great and terrible deeds. Therefore, as creators we are the only authentic gods and hence the only gods worthy of worship. Hail us!

3. Well, you're Satanists! Why do you use Satan ?

The Satan you're referring to is the mythical archetype developed by the early Christians in the 1st century CE, taking on the figure of a half man/goat in the 14th century CE. Originally, Satan was never a divine entity or a fallen angel, merely a human adversary as recorded in early Hebrew texts. The actual meaning of the Hebrew word Satan is adversary, or opposer. Modern Satanists have taken the original meaning of the word Satan, and have incorporated it as a personal symbol which represents their life-philosophy. Satan means adversary, and therefore a Satanist is adversarial to anything that would harm humanity and / or restrict the individual from making the most of life.

4. Why associate yourself with an entity that is pure evil ?

Evil? As in sinful? Wrong? Terrible? First of all, we don't associate ourselves with your notion of Satan. Satan does not mean evil, it means adversary. Secondly, a Satanist is not opposed to his own nature. If you must use the word evil, apply it to the religion that opposes the human's natural tendencies. Moreover, evil and good are merely concepts developed to categorize a culture's world-view. They aren't forces that exist on their own-they need the human mind in order to exist. The Christian culture would claim that lust is evil, the Satanic culture would claim that lust is a natural human behavior. Is lust an evil force? Hell no, not in the mind of a Satanist. Lust is a behavior that is sometimes classified as evil amongst religious fanatics. Whenever referring to evil, one must realize it does not mean the same thing to all people. Most Satanists aren't dualists. Good and evil do not exist as separate forces. They are both sides of the same coin, and the name of that coin is humanity.

5. Do you sacrifice little animals ?

Under no circumstances would a Satanist sacrifice any animal or baby.

6. Where do you go when you die ?

I've never been dead, how would I know? I don't focus on an afterlife, I focus on the here and now. Only a fool would waste his time preparing for a heaven, while letting the joys of this life pass him by. Nevertheless, it is interesting to speculate on the character of death. If a person has been vital throughout his life, and has fought to the end for his earthly existence, it is this ego which will refuse to die, even after the expiration of the flesh which housed it. Therefore, in a sense a part of us will live on in the memories of others. Furthermore, because we are made of matter and matter converts to energy it is likely that we will continue to be a part of the cycle. Perhaps, forever associated with the dark force (entropy) in nature that permeates and motivates all living things - not as a soul into a heaven with a dictator god!

7. Where did you come from ?

I am a result of my parent's sexual interactions. Oh, you mean where did the human race come from ? Perhaps, if someone alive today witnessed this account, we would know. We do not know. We have theories, such as evolution or the big-bang theory. All theories have flaws. Perhaps the most flawed theory is Traditional Creationism (six days).

8.  What is Satanism ?

Satanism is a life-philosophy supporting all that is beneficial to humanity and it's a life-application of the principles of which it is defined.

9.  What is magic(k) ?

Magic is both the application and manifestation of the will. Lesser magic is non-ritual or manipulative magic. It's the ability to create change according to one's will merely by body language, actions, mind-set, and wit of the magician. It is the act of using what you have in order to get what you want. Greater magic is 'purely an emotional act, rather than an intellecutal act'. It is not the usage of mind-tricks or body language as with lesser magic. Any intellecutal act must be prepared before the ceremony. During the ceremony, emotion is released. It is the emotion itself, pure and powerful emotion that spurs magical results.

10. Do you know you're going to Hell ?

This question does not deserve a response.
