Marksman's Challange

How many rounds can you put into a 300m target?

I thought I could add a challenge to all our AR shooters out there.  Set up a 25 yard (use a 25m target scaled down to 93% of original size) or 25meter zeroing target at the proper distance.  This will simulate a 300m target.  With 1 magazine (20 or 30 rounds) shoot at target.  Count any holes that 'break the line' as hits, and any hole inside the circle as an 'X'.  You may use iron sights or a dot type sight.  You can shoot from any position (including the bench) HOWEVER you may not use a bipod, monopod, sandbag or anything else to rest the rifle on (it must be completely in your hands) - your elbows may rest on the bench (almost like you were shooting from a fox-hole).  Time limit is 2 minutes. I would like to see someone get a 100% hit with 100%'X' score.  When that is accomplished we will increase the range or do something else a bit more challenging.  Time is kept at 2 minutes no matter the magazine size (20 or 30 or more).  If you can score a 20/20 20x in 2 minutes - the next challange is to do a 30/30 30x in 2 minutes (decrease you shot time - for fast accurate fire).

Scopes are now allowed - but they must be shot at 50 yards (see official target), be sure to include scope info (name, type, power setting used if its a variable).

Shooter must provide Rifle info (brand, barrel length), position, ammo used, magazine capacity (and # shots fired) sights used (A1/A2, Dot (include type and size of reticule).  Please send a scanned image of the target or e-mail me and I'll tell you how to mail the target to me.  I will keep a separate record for Iron Sight use and Dot Sight use, as well as for Bench/Fox-hole (for you military guys), Prone, Standing, and 'other'.  Weather info isn't needed, since the short distance should filter out variations due to wind & rain.

I know we have some High-Power shooters out there so I expect to see someone hit the 100%/100% (20/20) pretty quickly, and maybe a (30/30).
