Bellwood Sportsmen's Association, Bellwood Sportsmen's Association is a private club north of Altoona, PA. However, lifetime membership is less money than a single year at most ranges! I've shot there several times before, and it's an enjoyable range. Nice covered shooting positions, stools & concrete benches, sandbags, metal gongs, metal pistol targets, bowling pins, you name it. 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300 yard targets. Bellwood is situated on about 127 acres of land just above Root's Crossing, about two miles north of Bellwood on Route 865, on the way up the mountain to Blandburg. As you can see, new sign was made and erected, farther back from the road.
