You Know You're Addicted to Neopets When... ...you wish your neopets were real! ...the staff asks YOU for help! ...you take a mental health day from work and realize you've been playing all day! ...one of your pets is sick and you can hardly wait to get home from work, so you can take them to the Healing Springs or search for a affordable cure! ...you sneak on the internet while at work to see if one of your babies is hungry.
...you start to actually refer to them as 'he' or 'she' as if they were real living beings!
...your kid asks you when it's their turn to play and you growl at them.
...you 'hit' on the slots and you almost instinctively look for a 'bucket'! ...you make it a point when you go to a mall to check out the stores that sell neopets toys, just to listen to the sounds they make when you push the buttons, or to see if there is a new one! ...you become more excited than a 5 year old on christmas day when you see there is a 10 inch striped kacheek plushie for sale, and you have more than enough cash on you to get it! ...you get 2 days of detention for being caught on Neopets since it is an
"un-educational" site. ...you pick up a sweater in the store and ask the salesperson "How many neopoints is this?" ...it's pet day at your school and you print out your fave neopet.
...you yell throughout your home "found you!" when you win on Kacheek Seek.
...you go to a friends house and say "I haven'tt seen you for a while. Oh! Wow! Your neopets grown quite a bit! Isn't his name Berkley?"
...you are having financial problems you think "Well at least a have 4k np!" ...you're late for school and you say "Oh well, I'll ride my Uni there!" ...you write a note to your daughter's school because she was off with an unexplained rash, saying she was off school due to having itchy scratchies. Just hope her teacher doesn't go on neopets! ...you name your sons Drake and Bruce ...you look at an onion covered with tomato sauce and say:"that kinda looks like an everlasting apple!" ...you tell the teacher that Neopets is good for her because she needs to learn more "student-friendly" things. ...your mom ask if you have made any new friends and you say one of your new neofriends usernames. ... you start talking about faeries and people think your bonkers. ...you start losing weight because you can not find the time to eat. ...in winter when someone says, "aahh im frozen" you go.. "omg how? was it a scam? did you tell tnt?" ...you love hanging out with your friends but when you discover neopets, you ignore your friend when s/he knocks on your door. ...someone makes you laugh and instead of laughing, you say "lol". And when you see something shocking, you say "OMG"! ...you tell your friends about Neopets then get jealous that they know! ...you go to a zoo, at the tiger exhibit you ask what paintbrushes are available for it. ...you actually dream of living in Neopia. ...you ask the bank how many neopoints you have. ...your homepage on every browser is set to the Neopets home page. ...you go to wal-mart (or store of choice) and ask the CS representative what aisle the Neopet toys are in. ...you buy anything you see with anything neopets related on it. ...you buy 10 boxes of cereal that you don't even like just to get the RIC and Trading card. ...someone asks what kind of pet you have and you say "kacheek." ...you can name every species and paintbrush color but don't know your own neighbor's name! ...your spellchecker has all the neo terms included in the dictionary. ...you put off working (or school) to play just one more game. ...your daughter won't let you come to Limited Too, because after you see the neopets, you don't have enough money to spend on clothes, which was the original purpose of going. ...you refer to your little brother as the Spawn of Sloth. ...the first subject that gets in your mind when meeting a friend is talking about your pets on Neopets. ...you are tuning down friend wanting to come round just to go on Neopets longer. ...you got all of a species of a plushie that's ever made. ...your pets are of the same species and you name them after your fav people in the world (including neo). ...people ask who your friends are and you start naming the screen names on your neofriends list. ...you can keep this list going and going as I have been doing.
