Made for the On Line Tatting Class, 2005. Shapes in Tatting.
The original Pattern is from the May 2002 Tat-Along program by Wally aka Waleska Sosa. For the pattern,
For the center, I made a ring of 1ds 18 picots separated by 1ds each.
Joining around the center with the red, I joined each picot to a picot of the small ring to the picots on the snowflake, so I had three threads to weave over for each petal.
Weaving under, over, under and back for over, under, over, I weaved between the three threads, for the red petals. You can make as many passes as desired for your shape, but make sure you count so all petals are the same.
Once you have the shape you like for the red petals, take the Needle and weave it down between the already woven  piece, which will hide the end.
Bring the thread over through a picot to the next threads to be woven and do the same, weave up to the rings of the snowflake and again once you have it full, hide the thread down inside the already woven petal piece. Continue around for all the Red Petals.
Once you have them all done, tie one knot and hide the end thread down into the petal.
