Making a split ring with using two shuttle with different color threads.
Here I use a light green and a yellow. Tie the two together. I started mine with the light green making the double stitches as normal for a ring, and light green as my shuttle (1).
Here I did 6ds - 6ds on the top of the hand thread.
Then using the yellow, shuttle (2) I made the double stitches (un-flipped) and in reverse order, onto the light green thread that is on the palm of the hand.
6ds - 6ds *Remember do not flip the yellow, start with a back half of the ds, then a front half. But do not make it flip and just draw it up close to the center/base.
The ring closed, you can see the light green was made on the light green hand thread.
The yellow was also made on the palm thread which was also the light green.
Close the ring with the sh 1 light green thread.
Here you can see the first ring made, and I decided to make the second ring the same way. Start with sh 1 on top half, and sh 2 on the palm bottom half. Close ring using sh. 1
Here I made a large two color ring as in the above way.
But on the small ring, I did a (SLT) shoe lace trick and reversed the threads.
So now you see the small ring has the yellow on the opposite side of the large ring.
So if you wanted something done with the colors on opposite sides remember to do the (slt) .
