Lady Starla's Page ~My thoughts~ Magic, like spirit is a way of life. It matters not to me what you call yourself. Any of us that are true in spirit know each other on sight. We don't always know why at first, but in time the spirit reveals to each of us we are meant to be together. This togetherness can be a simple as a sharing of a moment, or as complex as a marraige. How many times have you met someone and spend more time trying to figure out where you knew them from then talking to the person? It happens alot. Spirit knows Spirit. I believe most everyone here is here because it is the will of the spirit. I honestly have no clue how or why I was asked here, but this is home. I have a connection to several members. I come home from work and check to see if anyone needs anything. It is nice how this place feels like home. I hope and pray it always stays this way. For me as well as to each of our members. We all can use a place of rest and learning without condemnation. Magic, it is complex, it is simple. Above all you must believe in yourself, your gifts and the Gods that watchover you. Never overlook the simple. Often times things are hidden in the simple, right before our eyes and we overlook it because we feel it is too easy. Jesus tried to teach this. If you only but believe you can move mountains. Sometimes life is easy. Sometimes we need not struggle. Sometimes if we but sit and wait that butterfly comes and sits on our nose. Try it, go out in nature not far, just enough to be out of the noise. Sit and be still for 20 mintues. See what comes to mind. We have two ears and one mouth for a reason. In our busy lives, we forget to stop and smell the roses. We need that peace that comes from sitting quietly. Thank you for the the honor of being part of management here. I Enjoy so many of the people here. There are still many here to meet. Love & Light, Lady Starla I have studied the ways of the Knights Templar. There is still alot ot be learned from them and all the offshoots of them. So many of them lost their lives to the King of France. He was jealous and wanted their treasure. If you want to hear a good mystery read up on them! I follow the path that was first laid by Staint Patrick and Saint Brigit. Both were Celtic. St, Patrick was made a saint for his work in Ireland. He drove the snakes away. He also gave us the Cletic crosses. The first in stone, way of connecting Christianity and the pagan ways. So many of the old ways are pagan and not Christian. Just so many never bother to look into it. I do alot of candle work. It helps me to focus prayers. I have the 7 day candles you can get at Kmart for about $1.00. I use these for safety. Ihave had one going in my house almost constantly since October of 1998. It has just become a way of life and part of my quiet time mediations. My husband and kids let me know when it is about to go out. They all tend to like the peace it adds to the house. I believe in angels. They are messengers of God. they help us and keep us safe. I have many stories to tell here. These helpers have never once stopped being here for me. That I think is the one main reason that I know my path is a true one. If my prayers are answered and the Angels come to my rescue when needed, I can't be far off track. Never tie the hands of your angels. They believe we like God speak our will. So watch your words they do have power! My Grandparents are all dead now. I learned much from them as I grew. My other's father was highly native in background it could be seen in his features. His actions were also proof. Yet in my family this is not to be spoken of. It is still shameful to my Mother and Aunts, all 6 of my uncles are gone to us now. My grand mother was a awesome woman. She had 10 children. She worked a full time job in a spa. She never learned to drive because she refuse to hit a dog on her drivers test and swore she never would get behind a wheel again. ( Can you guess where I get my stubborn streak?) She passed her gifts on to me at her death. I miss her so very much! On my fathers side, I didn't know them. My Grandmother died when I was 6 months old. I look like a carbon copy of her. the first time I saw her picture I was 30, it really scared me to see the resemblence. She I believe from what my Grandmother on my Mom's side told me was a wiccan. She was from Ireland. My father was a first generation American him father was from Scotland. I have been learning the old ways of the Celts. I started my path i the United Methodist Church. I spen years inthe choirs and learning. It was one of mypastors that taught me to question everything and research it for yourself. " The truth shall set you free" It has. I still believe in Christ, just not what his church has become. I totally believe that Jesus himself would not be allowed in the front doors. He was a commoner, jeans and t-shirt type, no three peiece suit. When did that become a neccessity to worship? My God sees me in the bath tub, when I am sick and think I could be dying. Not just when I play dress up. I live my faith 24/7. This is the way I wish to be.
