Welcome!! "The Spirits of the Mountain" clan was founded by Tao Roo Chingon II on May 25th 2001. The basis of the group is camaraderie and friendship. This group is comprised of young children, young adults, all the way to, ehmmm well, us older folks...LOL.. We are a great mix of people with much to add and share with each other. We promise you nothing. We do not promise to lead all levels of quests. We do not promise to have something for you to do everytime you log in. What we do offer is a great group of people of various levels who are willing to hunt and quest. If you want to go on a quest, find out some info on the quest and find out if there are others willing and wanting to go. Don't wait for someone to arrange it for you. Regardless of how generous most of the people are in this group, we do not promise to outfit all your characters with money, comps, armor and weapons. We do appreciate self reliance. Some however prefer to do things solo but still want to belong to the group at large. This is fine. This group is about fun and friendship. If you are not having fun, then you need to ask yourself why you are here. We are here because this is where our friends are not because they make us alot of xp. I firmly believe that like many things, you get what you put into this game.

The rules are very basic. If you know the "Golden Rule", you know how you are expected to behave within this group. This is the Code of Conduct that we live and play by.

1)Language:

First and foremost, please use appropriate respectful language on the allegiance channel. Inappropriate subjects like sexual topics should only be spoken about or discussed in private chat. If someone objects to your language or the subject you are talking about on the allegiance channel, please be respectful to that person or persons who object and take your language or subject to private chat. Try not to cuss, curse or use foul language especially on the the allegiance channel as some find that offensive. If in the normal course of the way you talk includes a swear word or cuss word, you will either refrain from talking in that manner or move on to a group where that manner of speech is acceptable. Racial slurs or comments will get you banned from the group. If you are asked by an allegiance officer, ie: Eowyn Windsong, Finidolph, Papasan,  Merlin-the-mage or Felicity the Fair to stop what you are saying and you don't pay heed, your removal from the group is then pending

2)Actions:

Treat yourself as well as others with respect. If anyone is found being disrepectful in a malicious, hurtful or harrassing way to anyone, be it in the group on the allegiance chat channel or to the general population, by talking, cussing, cursing or using foul language or by intentionally dragging monsters on to other players trying to get them killed or by any action that is harassing or malicious, then you don't belong here. Move on. If you are found to have done this more than twice, you will be removed from the group. This group will not tolerate malicious, vindictive behavior. The least person in the group as well as the highest person in the group represents me. I will not be represented in a negative way. My actions as well as yours will be honorable.

Unattended Combat Macroing is not supported!! However, if that is how you choose to play your game. I will not stop you. It is after all, your game and you're entitled to play it as you like. If you get caught UCMing, expect to get no support as you have placed yourself in a position that is clearly against the the ingame Code of Conduct.

Stealing, be it from allegiance members or any other player in the game leads to immediate dismissal from the allegiance, an account ban from the allegiance and the posting of your name on the "Players to Avoid" list.

On the subject of Pking. Taunting, Bad language or pking at the mansion is frowned upon.

Helping others when you can. We always need players available to be on a "corpse recovery team". Corpse recovery can be just as fun if not more fun than many quests.

When questing, which we hope to do often, follow the leaders' instructions! Let the leader lead. Stay with the group! Do not run ahead! I'm always looking for anyone who wants to learn a quest in order to lead it. If you want to do a quest, either take the initiative and organize it or ask for help to get it organized and scheduled. It's also a good idea not to loot while on a quest as it does or might slow down the questing groups progress, especially when you need to move on to a safer spot.

Clearly, we appreciate members who are self reliant. However, if you need help with something, have a question or are in need of something, please feel free to ask. However, whining is clearly not allowed!!!  LOL.. Unless it's really really funny....This also applies to begging for money, comps, armor and weapons on allegiance chat.  If you need something, please, follow the chain of command. Ask your patron first. If he or she is unavailable then feel free to ask me or announce your need in allegiance chat. But, please, refrain from spamming your need, meaning, do not repeat your request over and over again.

Powerleveling you is NOT a patrons job nor the monarchs. We do not have nor do we believe in an xpchain so if an xpchain is what you require in an allegiance you won't find one here. You will have to look elsewhere. I support and firmly believe that a strong relationship based on camaraderie and friendship between a patron and vassal is a major component of the game that enhances the enjoyment of the game overall. A patron vassal relationship that is based merely on the passup of xp is a tenuous one at best. Regarding vassals and patrons, choose wisely. Make sure they are someone who increases not diminishes your level of enjoyment in the game. If you recruit someone, please ask yourself a few questions. "Is this someone I like having around?" "Is this someone I would have represent me?" "Is this person my friend?"  If you take on a person as a vassal, you as a patron are responsible for them. This includes teaching them how to play the game if they are new to it as well as providing them with what they need to get started out, ie. money, weapons and armor. This also includes occasionally hunting with them LOL.
On the subject of leveling, how high is up to you. You may have to work for it, however, LOL. If you feel left behind because you are too low a level to do what everyone else is doing, then LOL put some time and effort into leveling instead of feeling bad that everyone else is doing something or going on a quest because they are a higher level. I have always enjoyed leveling my characters. This to me can be as much fun as questing.

I do very little recruiting. I prefer that people ask to join us because they see how much fun we are having, how active we are and who we are.  I have many friends in this group as well as in many other allegiances. I've never required nor will I ever require that someone be in our group to participate in any activity we have. Again, This group is about friends having fun with friends not about how many of us there are nor how much xp we make each other.

If you have a problem with your patron or vassal or another player in the game and need help,  we have an allegiance council comprised of allegiance officers who can help solve your problem. Ingame type, /allegiance officer list, to see who they are.

If you apply to join our group on the website, please provide your main character's ingame name, the names of your secondary characters, the name of your patron and the names or name of your vassals. Your application for membership into the site will be denied if this information is not provided and is not verifiable. Thanks.

Cheers,

Tao
