The White Tower was once located in the city of Tar Valon. However, during Tarmon Gaidon, it was destroyed along with the Black Tower in a raid led by Dreadlords and Black Ajah. The Dragon Reborn, Rand al'Thor, wanted to build a city where rulers could meet without giving any one Nation an advantage. It seemed the best to rebuild the White and Black Towers in this location also. You look to see the large, gleaming white structure. It seems to sparkle in the light of the sun and to be made of marble. There is a guard stationed at the gate, the only break you can see in the shining white walls. The guard asks what you need.
