The Mission and Vision of The Writer's Niche.
The Writer's Niche is a site for writers of all skill levels.
You do not have to be a GREAT writer to fit in here...
you simply have to love writing and ENCOURAGING other writers.
We are not a critical or mean-spirited site, nor do we allow bickering and squabbles. We are a site of encouragement; a safe haven for a writer to share their thoughts, dreams, hopes, and innermost feelings...
A safe haven for story tellers, poets, song writers, joke tellers, sci-fi writers, romance writers, article writers, bio writers, mystery writers, fantasy writers, philosophical writers...
this safe haven is a niche...a place to "fit" and feel comfortable...
The Writer's Niche!
The mission/Vision statement is provided for you to read so you can determine if this is the type of environment you want to participate in. If you do not agree with it, it does not make one of us right or wrong OR good or bad...it just means we have a different vision. Participating at a site in which you do not share the vision will probably NOT be a positive experience for you...or that site. To insure YOUR satisfaction with the site, we want to be SURE all members know the vision...
Site Rules
1. Do not edit or give hard critique of a writer's work unless they ask for it. This is meant to be done at The Advice Niche, but some writers do NOT go there, but do simply ask for critique in whichever Niche they post.
2. Do not use excessive foul language, graphic content, or write porn at this site. If you are unsure whether an item you wish to post is in this category, email it to thewritersniche@hotmail.com
3. Do not handle your personal disagreements at this site. Bickering and squabbling of ANY KIND is not wanted here.
4. Do not use works of art, such as poems, stories, songs, etc. to try to PASS bickering and squabbling by.
5. If you have a LONG post, you MAY want to post it in sections. This encourages readers with little time to read it and post comments. Long posts tend to be "turn-offs" for those short of time. However, if you WANT to post your work in one long post, it is allowed. Just realize it may not get many responses.
6. Management asks that all members contact the site's email address so that we may have an address to reach you if the site goes down or if there is another problem.
7. The Writer's Niche is not "The Mate-Date Niche". If personal "relationships" develop from contact online, please handle them via email and keep them off of the boards.
