  Ok Guys,

We wanted the XM Radio and liked the J&M setup but did not like that you had a cord
hanging down your dash to plug the unit into the radio.  So we purchaced the J&M setup and a Delphi
FM Modulator and a Stereo-to-Stereo Audio Coupler and some friction tape (100 mph tape for you AF
guys).  Too cold to ride and try it out so we did try the unit out in our Suburban, nice tunes.

In this first picture you have the J&M setup with the Delphi FM Modulator.

This picture is the FM modulator and Antenna and Audio Coupler in place.  The antenna is a powerful magnet
with a double sided tape also, the magnet is good enough to keep the antenna there but I used the tape also.

This shot is the Audio Couple sealed and the FM modulator mounted. When using the
FM modulator you will need to run the 6 volt line from the modulator to the XM
Radio base to power the unit, and add a noise filter to the wiring in the fairing.

This picture is the electrical hookup, I combined the FM modulator and the XM
conections together, the J&M comes with a quick connect by unpluging the
lighter and plug the J&M into it and there is a hookup to reconect the lighter.

This shot is of the ground. I just used the fairing frame work to ground both units.

A shot of the radio after the Fairing is installed.

Working by myself the job took a hour (I already had the fairing off) to install and button up the fairing.

Cost for the project:

J & M XM radio Mount $299
Delphi XM radio $99 (Best Buy)
Delphi FM Modulator $49 (Best Buy)
Audio Coupler $3.99 (Radio Shack PN# 274-1555)
Friction Tape $2.99 (Radio Shack PN# 640-2336)
