Rules are something you follow when someone is watching!
Ethics are what you do when NO ONE is watching!
Every time I set a foot out of my home with my metal-detector, I am an Ambassador for the metal-detecting hobby! I never forget that fact! I may be the only person with a metal-detector that a property owner or other might ever come in contact with, so I make it a pleasant and good experience for all involved.
