Bella Terra Blanes, Costa Blanca, Spain. The site is a lovely family run clean site with one side next to the beach and the other side has the swimming pool and bigger pitches, there was the odd British family staying there but the majority are from the Netherlands or Spain and France, not that we found that a problem. The best thing about the site was its location to the town of Blanes - located straight outside the gates with an abundance of shops, resturaunts and bars, also two hypermarkets and a Liddle within three miles. It is only four miles from Lloret de Mar and ten from Tossa de mar. Recommended by Tilly , 1/1/2003.

Cambrils . I agree that Cambrils is a very good site, we stayed there August 2001, 2003 prices are going to be the same as Sanguli. Both sites owned by the same person, if I remember correctly next years cost for my wife, one child (who will be 17) and I is in the region of 55 Euros. The site is away from the hussle and bussle of Salou, but easily accesible, apart from all the parked cars on the approach road. When we were leaving we were delayed for about 20 mins as a coach and caravan met halfway - how they got past each other is beyond me, but there were several people helping. The camp shop is reasonably priced, but it is worth a 10 min drive to the supermarket on the outskirts of town or a day to Tarragona, taking in the hypermarket where beer is extortionatly priced at around 17 pence a bottle. We are visiting the area again next summer, as Cambrils is no longer a cheaper alternative we may visit Sanguli, with Fred's bar just outside the gates where you can have breakfast through to supper, and the owner, a manchester lad always makes you welcome. Cambrils Park Camí Mas de la Clariana, s/n 43850 CAMBRILS.. I suppose that it is a fact of life that one does begin to look for the cheaper options in a chosen lifestyle as one gets older, and it is with this in mind that I have chosen to highlight this camp site. We have been visiting the Costa Dorada region of Spain for many years now, our first time along this part of the coast being when our kids were small some twenty five or so years back now when we made the trip in a hippy style VW camper, but things have now change along this part of the coast as they have elsewhere. The camp site that we used way back then is now a large apartment block, so the need for a new camp for us when visiting this area was needed, we then found camping Sanguli which suited our needs perfectly, but as time went by the price here went up by a large amount each time we stayed, so again we looked for a cheaper option, we then found Cambrils park, and at the time that we first used this site the price was half that of Sanguli. That first visit was about seven or so years ago when the site was brand new and since then we have been back three times, each time the site has got better, and speaking to a Dutch family on site this year they confirmed with us that the site is the best value for money in this area. The camp is reached by travelling along the beach road south out of Salou ( signpost Cambrils ) for about a mile or so there are unblocked views of the sea to the left and hotels to the right, then the hotels will block the view of the sea , keep on for about half a mile and there is a large car wash/garage complex to the right, take the first turning on the right and follow the camp site signs. The site is about four hundred mts from the sea and has over six hundred pitches, one can set up camp near to all the action, large swimming pool restaurant area, or go way off to where you will wonder if you are on a camp site at all. For those with young children there is a complex just for them along the theme of an African game reserve which also I will add has a small bar area. Toilet blocks and ameneties are amongst the best we have seen, there are some operator units on site but they; unlike on some sites are not spread out. As evening turns to night the camp do insist that noise is kept to a minimum and they do have security chaps around that keep an eye on things. Salou itself is a typical Spanish costas holiday resort with all that goes with that but it has an atmosphere all of it's own, from the camp site the main town is about thirty minutes walk along the esplanade, from here it is very easy to get to Port Aventura ( Universal Studios ). The journey down to Spain if on a two week holiday and towing will be best done on an autoroute, but if the luxury of a three or more week trip is on the cards then try to see the real France/Spain, tow up through the foot hills of the Pyrenees and through the Vielha tunnel and the run down through Spain to the coast is superb. Good camping, Chris Recommended by vkrider , 1/1/2003.

Duinrell Wassenaar, Holland. Duinrell is a campsite and a half with an adventure park contained within. The park has some very good rides, with a theme of water so be prepared to get wet if you want to. It has all the things you expect in a park including snack bars, gift shops etc
There is also a superb water park, which costs extra. This has both indoor and outdoor pools and some wicked water flumes (also inside and out). A wave pool, which alternates between waterfalls and waves and if you are feeling lazy you can go on the lazy river or in the jacuzzi.
The site has a mix of tourers, tents, statics and Duingalows. (bungalows) set in very nice mature bushes and trees.
The facilities are excellent, including full washing up facilities and dishwashers!. There are also excellent separate child friendly showers and toilets. (which are so tiny)
Be warned though, there is piped music inside the facilities, including the chemical disposal point!
To say the site is huge is an understatement, the restaurant/snack bars seat a total of 7 thousand altogether.
In the centre building there is a supermarket which is well stocked and has its own bakery, adjacent to this is an Irish pub. (didn't go in so can't comment) and also 3 restaurants and a snack bar.
With the site being shared with Euro and Key camp be prepared for lots of us Brits which suprised us.
The pitches are all level and set out in named fields. Ours was nice because it had only enough room for 6 vans.
If you have kids or you are a big kid that likes adventure parks, this is the site for you. To sum up I would like to give it 9 out of 10 but if you like a quiet site, don't even think about it because it is very noisy, even late into the night. Recommended by markf6, 1/1/2003.

Ma Parie Cannet, Sourth of France. This site was not bad until the rain fell and 80% of the site went under water. The 3 new toilet blocks were superb, but the old one in the middle of the site was not so good at all. A local LIDA was 5 mins walk from the site and the local onsite bar and restraunt was not bad.The beach at Cannet was 10 mins drive away and Spin only 1 hour. Andora although only 70 miles away took 3 hours to get their, but well woth going for the cheap tax free goods. In conclusion I would go back to the site again. Recommended by Paulw , 1/7/2003.
