Jack E. Trager
(October 11, 1928 - January 28th, 1998)
This page is dedicated to the memory of Jack E. Trager. Jack Trager was born on October 11th 1928.

As a proud father of four, he went on to be the Union High School Band director, in Union, New Jersey, for nearly 30 years. After marching his heart out, he moved his way down to Central 6 School, and ended his career teaching instrumental music in elementary schools.

Jack's main instrument was the trumpet but he also played a MEAN trombone and the string bass!

(Jack on Left, I apologize, but I do not know who the person on the right is!)
Those who knew Jack would say one thing about him. he ALWAYS had a smile on his face! At the young age of 66, Jack was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Still playing the trumpet and keeping a smile on his face, Jack slipped into a coma on January 26th, 2008, passing away two days later.

(Former student, Alan Bomwell on left, Jack on right!)
Wayne has been receiving letters from Jack's students for some time now. He eventually plans to post them all. If you were on of Jack's students, and you would like to make a comment on his remembrance page, please contact wtrager@msn.com
