HELPING THE PINE RIDGE RESERVATION

The Pine Ridge Reservation is the second largest reservation in  America. This is the place of Wounded Knee,L.Peltier,Mary Brave bird. In 1890,the U.S. army massacred over 300 unarmed men,women and children,some even nursing,old people and the sick.In 1973 a 71 day stand off between natives,the FBI,local goons and military now refered to as the 2nd wounded knee.  This event still effects the people of pine ridge today in many different ways. poverty,blood line issues ,alcoholism,hunger,housing and so much more.Yet beautifully in tack is the pride of their culture and ancestral  heritage.Hopeful of the possibilities that can bring positive things to the people of pine ridge. They are broken,they are a victom of  sadness of what has  happened to them.But they have not forgotten who they are. Who thier forefathers are.Chief Sitting Bull and many others who by blood stood for the people of this pain.
