About T20
Many groups exist around the world to provide mutual support, information and advice to families who have children affected by rare disorders. T20 is such a group which seeks to fill a gap for those affected by certain disorders linked to chromosome 20.
Disorders of chromosome 20 are rare, and many affected children are in fact unique.
Also, it is peculiar to the disorder called Trisomy 20 mosaicism that many families unfortunately have to endure a "scrape" with a chromosome disorder during pregnancy, only to have an unaffected child. For this reason, T20 is probably also unique as a support group in welcoming members from families who do not have a child affected by a chromosome disorder, whilst appreciating the problems experienced by such families during those difficult 7-9 months of waiting.
