WATER BOTTLE

It is not necessary to buy a fancy canteen or hydration system. A one quart Nalgene water bottle works great. Some other suggestions include the Gatorade squirt bottles, large coke bottles, or the plastic bottles that spring water comes in. They are all cheap, easy to replace, and last forever. Just make sure he brings at least a quart of water.
