APRIL 1 - RUN FOR THE RABBITS in Odessa.  Ginger Florence planned a fun scavenger hunt for the 39 rabbits in Odessa.  10 of us chased rabbits around town and ended up with a nice dinner at Mama's Kitchen.  Bryan and Donna Prima won the prize for most rabbits found and Ginger had some wonderful door prizes for the participants.

JUNE 2-3-4 - Run to Ruidoso 2006 - Seven Miatas and a Honda drove to Eagle Lake, Capitan, Carrizozo, Lincoln, Cloudcroft - saw the western show and ate dinner at the Flying J Ranch with a Sunday breakfast at the Inn of the Mountain Gods.  Jim & Freida Treat and Lew & Rowena Archer drove up from San Antonio to become new Miata friends.  The only disappointment was the extreme fire danger....we were prevented from driving up Sierra Blanca (always a highlight of our trip.)  Pictures will be posted on the pictures page shortly.

July 29 - Timed Road Rally & Banana Split Party - hosted by Roger and Judy Rusert.  28 folks rambled and got lost and then found in two separate runs with lunch at KD's Bar-B-Q before a fun ending with banana splits at the Rusert's.  Thanks MUCH to Bob & Ruth Price and the Rusert's for working so hard at planning this event.  The morning run was a simpler prelude to the difficult afternoon romp.  We're learning as we go!

August 19 - Saturday, Van Pearcy hosted/sponsored a Classic Car Show at his office parking lot across from Memorial Stadium on Cuthbert in Midland.  I counted about 40 wonderfully restored classics, hot rods, muscle cars, and a gorgeous MG T2 owned by Charlie Semple.  Several of us met at Burger King for breakfast before heading over for the "free" show.
