THE MYSTICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF ISRAELITES AND RASTAFARIANS

Let us look at how the ancient Israelites wore their hair into locks, so do the Rastafarians. Yisra'el sang and danced before Yahwah, and likewise the Rastafarians. The music was then known as Israel's Music but the Rastafarians call it the King's Muzik in the form of Nyabinghi, & Reggae. The Israelites played harp and drums and now the Rastafarians play more instruments such as the guitar, flutes, and trumpets. Yisra'el read from the ancient sacred Hebrew scrolls and now the Rastafarians with the Bible. Rastafarians say Jah(Yahwah), which is the Sacred Hebrew name for the Father. However there is no J in the Hebrew language so it is really Yah not Jah. Israelites also used the Layish ya Yahuwdah(Lion of Judah) as a symbol same with the Rastafarians. Let us remember too that the Israelites faced persecutions in those times and likewise  Rastafarians. Some Rastafarians do follow these ancient Yisra'el customs while others just call themselves by these Israelite tribes. We realise that the Rastafarians see this spiritual connection within themselves and the ancient Israelites.

Infact, the earliest Rastafarians recognised themselves as the Lost Tribes of Yisra'el, who were taken from Western Africa and brought to the Caribbean through slavery. This thought is not erroneous at all, because ones need to know that Israel is a part of Africa. From these Rastas reading their Bibles and seeing this significance with them and Israel, they began to liberate themselves more! Infact certain Rastafari groups began teaching about Rastafarians being the ancient Israelites'  offsprings. Some Rastafarians believe that ganja usage was seen among the Israelites.  Well this could be possible, but the Bible doesn't really show any scripture pertaining to Ganja. Instead, it rather mentions the different herbs that Yah created for the purpose of human beings. From the times of Ahdawm and Chawah(Adam and Eve) in the Garden of 'Eden, these herbs were used medicinally to cure any kind of ailments. 

From reading my Bible, I realise that the Rastafarians in this Western Hemisphere actually stemmed, physically, from the ancient Israelites! They are being identified now by this name, Ras Tafari, which is the precoronational title of Emperor Haile Selassie I, an Israelite King born in Africa. 

   

Let's not forget that they were first known as Hebrews before they were called Israelites, the name that father Ya'aqob received from Yahwah. They were later identified as Messianists(the original title for the followers of Messiah before the Greeks called them Christians), because they became inspired by the great teachings of the Master, Yahshua Ha Mashiyach. Yahshua was sent to redeem the Twelve Tribes of Israel from those times and even now, who are a people lost and scattered among the four corners of the earth, but shall be regathered again by the Almighty Father's Will!

Yisra'el's Twelve Tribes doesn't consist of just any organization. The Nation of Israel is Yah's Remnant, elected by Him to preach the message to the people! They are some Rastafarians who feel that these are Yahuwdiy(Jewish) beliefs instead of African, & no one shouldn't bring such thoughts in the Rastafari Movement. This surely  explains the reason why some only see themselves as Rastafarians and not Israelites. It is truly amazing to hear this kind of thinking coming from ones, believing that Israel is Jewish? Come on man, do they really read the Bible or what? What is wrong for Rastafarians to see themselves as Yisra'el? I don't see nothing wrong with that at all. Well, I always encourage those people to read His Imperial Majesty's words if they really profess to be Rastafarians. The Emperor not only elaborated on Yahshua the Messiah but on the Twelve Tribes of Israel as well.

When He visited Jamaica in 1966, He said, " You all came from Many Tribes," like I already mentioned before in the Rastafari webpage. I'm sure most Rastas listened to His Majesty's words, but who are really accepting them?  Some believe he was referring to the African tribes only, & not Jewish people. First of all, ones need to realise that being Jewish is entirely different from being an Israelite. The Bible shows us that Yahuwd,(which is really the correct name rather than Jew), are Israelites but not all in Yisra'el are Yahuwd, there were Ra'uwbeniy, Shimo'niy, Leviyiy, Zabuwloniy, etc etc. The Twelve Tribes of Israel are not consisting of one tribe alone but all twelve tribes together.  How could Jews be the only Israelites today? What about the rest of the twelve tribes, how could they be forgotten?  We all need to read these same exact inspirational utterances of the Emperor, because he is showing us something about Israel.

The 12 Tribes of Israel, also emphasizes on the Nation of Israel like other Rastafari groups, but mostly teaches of a spiritual identity on the Twelve Tribes of Israel in the Bible. Brother Gad showed ones that they are signified by the 12 Tribes(Reuben-Benjamin) according to 12  months(April-March). He simply found a way where ones can know their tribes, through these 12 months each person(regardless of race)  were born from according to a lunar calendar. Gadman also taught about 12 faculties, functions, apostles, gates, & colors within the organization,  which you never really heard from any Rastafarian in those times. He certainly recognised His Majesty's speech on the Tribes of Israel as a Rastaman, & implemented on it. The 12 Tribes of Israel acknowledges  this mystical tracing of Israelites. But what about the genetical recording  of the Hebrew Israelites in the Bible? 

Realistically, the Twelve Tribes of Yisra'el were known literally, through geneology, but of course I'm not opposing Gadman's mystical ideology on Israel, because there is some truth in what he says still.  It could be difficult to determine which Israelite tribe we physically originated from, due to the dispersion of Israel, among different nations like the Bible shows. Which is why Brother Gad developed this spiritual tribe tracing in 12 Tribes. But the actual Twelve Tribes of Israel are here, & only Yah knows who they are & shall regather them again. For Rastafarians to know that they came from Israel's Twelve Tribes is  important, but it is necessary to embrace our ancient Hebrew Israelite customs, & not be renounced. I know that some Rastafarians believe they don't need to observe these Israelitish holy days no more since Yahshua came, but if they read the Bible, they can see that the Twelve(Yahshua's twelve apostles) and Sha'ul(Paul) celebrated these ancient Israelite days, even though they saw themselves as Messianists.

So how can ones believe that these festivals, & the Shabbat are no longer important? That is certainly not what the Holy Bible teaches at all and they need to really read the Bible with a clear conscience like His Majesty taught us Rastafarians. Even Baptism(Tabal in Hebrew) has been rejected by some Rastafarians but the Sacred Scriptures clearly states that Water and Spiritual Baptism go hand in hand. Let's not forget that Israelites knew of tabal even before the great Prophet, John(Yahchanan) the Baptist was born. Even the Bible shows us that when Yisra'el enters the Promised Land, they shall be baptised there too, so how can this forsaken? " For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.  Then will I sprinkle clean water(mayim) upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse(taher) you. "(Ezekiel 36: 24,25)

Baptism in water is a cleansing of the body, soul, and mind, making thyself pure unto YAHWAH. So how can this be ignored? There is indeed a significance with Israel and Rastafari as I have shown you here in this discussion. If some of you still refuse to see yourselves as Israelites, then I encourage you to take up your Bible and read who your ancient ancestors were. Rastafarians are not supposed to be Israelites spiritually. The Rastafarian faith and the Israelite(Messianic) faith have alot in common. There might be some who might oppose my thoughts, but this is what the Bible shows me. I encourage all Rastafarians to not only identify with Yisra'el's Twelve Tribes, but embrace the customs as well.

If our ancient Hebrew Israelite forefathers and mothers accepted them, then why are the Twelve Tribes of Israel(the physical seed of Jacob), ignoring them? Our Master, Yahshua Ha Mashiyach, who was born from the Tribe of Yahuwdah, observed these days also, so we shouldn't reject them at all. Rastafarians are Israelites no doubt about that whatsoever. So there is a mystical significance of Israel and Rastafari indeed! The ancient Israelites were dark skinned peoples and so are many Rastafarians today( some are even white too). While Shem, Ham, and Japheth are emphasized as being the people of Yah, we all should know that Hebrew Israelites only had Afro Asiatic features, & nothing else besides that. It is an excellent motive for all of us to accept the Faith, even if we're black, brown, red, yellow, or white.  

But as an African Caribbean person, I still couldn't ignore the fact that my Israelite ancestors were certainly not Europeans. Because  Rastafarians need to know their Israelite(Northeast African) History again! We are a great people written very much in the Bible but have been ignored because of who we really are. But we shall keep rising up by the Powers of the Almighty YAH! The ancient Israelites, and Rastafarians are truly the same people! They wore robes, kept their hair into locks as being Nazarites(Naziyr) and observed their ancient Israelite traditions and customs. Rastafari people need to forward to their ancient traditions again. Please don't just listen to what I say here, but read the Bible and find the truth for yourself. Rastafarians are Messianic people, followers of Yahshua the Messiah. Rastafarians consist of the Lost Tribes of Yisra'el, but shall one day return to the land of their forefathers again, Israel, Northeast Africa!
