It has been said that Christians are "pretty narrow minded" to limit the population of the universe to merely GOD, ANGELS, AND MAN. There are many biblical reasons for not accepting the idea of intelligent human type life beyond earth. The Bible does not give the slightest hint that extraterrestrials exist. Yet those who believe this often appeal to the Bible. Scripture indicates that God created only two kinds of intelligent species, angels and men. The angelic species are divided into angels who obey God and demons, "fallen angels" that are false representatives opposing him. These want to inhabit bodies so they come under the disguise of walk-ins. If they were really travelers from another star system. It would take their spacecraft 90,000 years to travel (speed of light) to the closest sun that might have planets. Why would they travel all this way to us, and then keep themselves secret. Why do they not bring the gospel of Jesus Christ and instead substitute an occult one? These are questions that seriously need answers. Not just brushed away as the bible is inaccurate (which it is not). It is ludicrous to think UFOs, with beings that are extremely old and advanced with this kind of technology travel great lengths through space and when they get to earth they engage in kidnappings and a sexual inquisition of humans. Scripture strongly implies that no intelligent life exists elsewhere, and the long-running Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, or SETI, projects have failed to refute this. Earth was created to be home for creatures made in God the Creator’s image. It was on Earth that the first human couple rebelled against its creator and brought the cosmos under His curse. Thus it would have affected Martians, Vulcans, Klingons and any other being in the universe. The second person of the holy trinity incarnated on Earth alone, took on human nature, died for the sins of those with whom He has the kinsman-redeemer relationship, then ascended to the right hand of God the Father. He did not take on Vulcan or Klingon nature, and He will have only one bride — the church — for all eternity. It would therefore seem hard to reconcile intelligent life on other worlds with the doctrine of the incarnation. It would also seem odd for God to create microscopic life on other planets, but we should not be dogmatic on this.
In conclusion, despite spending millions of dollars, NASA and others have not found the slightest proof for life anywhere but Earth. Behind the search is the metaphysical assumption that life evolved from nonliving chemicals on Earth, so there is no reason it couldn’t evolve elsewhere. Chemical evolution has such major hurdles that if life were found on Mars, the most reasonable assumption is that it came from Earth somehow. Life In Outer Space?
The only worlds the Bible speaks of as being inhabited are this earth, heaven and hell. This does not rule out the possibility of other galaxies that have planets that contain life but the Bible was given to man so he would know how to live in this life and procure heavenly life in the world to come.
To speculate on things that the Bible is silent about is presumptuous to me. Many people are spending hours seeking to understand the mysteries of the universe but haven't even taken the time to understand the mysteries of this life that are revealed in the Bible. To me it is more egotistical to theorize and allow my imagination to conjure up things that the Bible is silent about. Many people seeking the mysteries of outer space are prone to receiving suggestions and suppositions that are not Biblically based. When we delve into things that the Bible is not commanding us to seek we open ourselves up to deception. As Christians our goal should be to first be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and to then get the gospel out.
I do not know everything God has in store for His children in the world to come, perhaps exploring the galaxies is one of them.
