New! All rescue contacts are now in one list at "Rescue Groups"

(Please let me know if you find this easier to use. It should be easier for me to update! Your help in "getting it right" is much appreciated.)

Members of the public have great difficulty finding someone to help when they come across wildlife in distress. The RSPCA and SSPCA seem to be overloaded and volunteers aren't always easy to track down. There are rescue groups scattered all over the internet and this is my attempt to get them all listed in one place.

 Links to this site on other wildlife related sites could take some of the pressure off each one by guiding people to a nearer or more appropriate rescue centre. Please link to here if you have any connections with other sites.

Please have a look at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UKWildlifeRescue and let me know which site you prefer.  My 'Please Help' Message on the Message Board here explains why there are two UK Wildlife Rescue sites.

I'd appreciate it if you would join this site and take an active part in helping me to keep it up to date. Some members of the public are not too persistent and if they get a wrong number might just give up trying to help wildlife.
