Community Service Activities September 07 Update: Members from Western’s varsity team and the London-Western wrestling club were active in several community events this September. Ten members from the team took part in the Terry Fox 5km run on September 16th. The run was a good off-mat exercise for the participants and it also helped support a good cause. To date over $400 million dollars has been raised world-wide for cancer research in Terry’s name. Team members also took part in the annual Hospice Road Race in support of London Palliative Care on September 22. A total of 21 members volunteered at the race by handing out water to runners and directing them along the course. This is the second year the team has been involved in this event.
