Dear UWO Wrestling Team,
On behalf of Hospice of London, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for helping make this a record-breaking year for our annual Road Race. We had over 400 people participating and without your generous support, this annual event would not be possible. We are proud to inform you that with your help this year, we were able to raise over $10,000. This money will go towards recruitment & training of our volunteers who provide support to our clients.
Of great importance are the individuals and companies who come forth with support each year. Your participation has enabled us to continue providing comfort and caring support to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of people living with a life threatening illness, and to their families. Your support also makes our services available for people who are recently bereaved. Consistent with the Hospice philosophy we provide all our services at no cost to the clients. Right now 1 in 10 Canadians are caring for someone with a long-term illness and this number is on the rise. We know how hard it is to accept the imminent passing of a loved one.
We are very pleased that individuals such as you have decided to support us in making this very difficult passage both manageable and meaningful for people facing a life threatening illness. Once again, we extend our warmest thanks in helping to make our fundraiser such a great day.
