| EZ 'Cork' Board Tutorial by ©Neenee - A ©Unique Boutique Design *Written Jan. 27, 2003* PSP 7 Please feel free to Link to this tutorial, and/or print it out for your personal use. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental- thistut is of my own imagination. Let's get started! For this project - you will need the VDL Adrenaline Snowflake Plug-in (freeware) you can download it HERE and if you'd prefer to 'dress up' your board - a floral swag paint tube - to place atop your board as shown Open a new 250 x 250 transparent image in PSP Flood fill with color # 9A7744, go to Effects, Plug-ins, VDL Adrenaline, Snowflakes and use these settings Click Okay - Go to Color Palette and choose white as your bg color for the boards' frame - go to Image - Add Border, check mark symmetric and type in the number 12 in the first box ( all boxes will show 12) click OK Using the Magic Wand Tool - click inside the white border so that it is 'active' - you will see 'marching ants'- go back to Color Palette - choose Patterns and a finished wood grain, flood fill border with this finished with pattern with the border still 'active' - go to Effects, 3D, Inner Bevel and use these settings - click OK Go to Selections, Select None - the active border/frame will now be off. Choose one or two personal photos- resize them to about 75width X 56 height and copy and paste as new selections onto your cork board Using your Preshapes tools - select a shape - I used both rectangle and rounded rectangle- check mark antialias, and check mark Create as Vector, line width 1 - draw several 'notepads' on your board - overlapping one or two as shown Use multi colors in your note pads to give your board some color. Using your Paint Brush Tool - size 5, round - and using different colors, paint in 'push pins' on your note pads Go to Layers, Merge All Flatten - Copy your cork board - minimize PSP - open Animation Shop and paste as New Animation - now you can use your Text Tool and write on your notepads - make shopping lists, Dr. Appts, 'fake' phone numbers, whatever you like- I used Comic Sans Font size 8 in black Guys may want to add photos of their prized Truck or Sports Memorabilia, something to 'personalize' your cork board - my photos are of my younger sister and my grandaughter. Again - you can 'dress up' your board if you like, by adding a floral swag - your imagination knows no bounds!!! Hope you enjoyed this EZ project! other examples of what you can create page by ©Neenee |
