Is This a Kingdom or a Democracy ?
I listen to all these politicians talk about “serving at the President’s Pleasure”.
I thought the President served at the pleasure of the citizen’s pleasure. That’s who “elected” the president (sort of) we still don’t know how he won the first term of office, oh yeah, the Supreme Court elected him.
Now we have to listen to all the rhetoric until the 2008 elections. All the lies, etc., underhanded and indeed really close to criminality.
What about the outing by the Vice- President of the C.I.A. covert agent Valerie Plame, wife of diplomat Joe Wilson, putting her network and herself in personal danger and flushing fifteen years of undercover work down the toilet.
What happened to the statement of the president about firing anyone involved in the outing of Mrs. Wilson. Only Skooter Libby turned up as the fall-guy and chump. How many think they smell a Presidential Pardon in the air?
Now we have all these U.S. Attorneys who have been asked to resign or be fired. I believe Karl Rove and the Vice-President among others are responsible for this scandal. I believe they were fired because they didn’t subject Democrats to microscopic examination so they could be found guilty of something or other, including more lies.
Lies, all lies, perpetrated by the Republicans to keep the Democrats down. What happened to bi-partisanship and getting along. Of course it would be nice to know what happened to the Bill of Rights too.
