There are two different complexes in Valdez that offer rental assistance programs:

North Pacific Rim 3 bedroom duplexes - Native Preference

Sound View Apts (2 & 3 bedroom unfurnished units) must have good credit & pay 30% of income upon approval

 

AND

AHFC (Alaska Housing Finance Corp) puts profits from loans back into communities by helping renters in need:  Pay 30% of income on rent, they will pay the rest up to a maximum amount to include utilites.  May select from any units in town, which must pass a safety inspection.  If you have a similar program in an out-of-state or other area in Alaska, your certificate/voucher may transfer with you and by-pass the waiting list  Call 835-2119 for more info

 

Senior Citizen?

There is a housing complex of one bedroom units.  Very nice common areas.  Very nice views

Approx $700 per month including utilities.  Lunch program five days a week.  907-835-5032
