Not everyone is up to the challenge of caring for a diabetic cat yet doesn't wish to consider euthanasia. Some people opt to look for a new home where their cat can get the care that they need. While there is already a nationwide adoption list at Pets With Diabetes , I thought a local listing might also be useful, as it removes the transportation obstacle from the equation.

While it is very difficult to re-home a diabetic pet, we will do everything possible to assist you in this endeavor.

While you are waiting to find a suitable home for your pet, i would ask that you please begin treatment of the diabetes. It will keep your cat in a healthier condition for any prospective adopter. Please be prepared with complete medical records for your cat's new home.
